Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a cookie recipe from Clean Eating Magazine. Elia did make these and said they
were a big hit. I will try them myself tomorrow and post a picture if I can figure out
how to do it. Sucanat is a sweetener of some sort. Elia found it in one of her favourite
stores in Vancouver called Capers. She said I could probably find it at Whole Foods.

Makes: 24 cookies

Ingredients:
1 c unsalted almond butter, stirred well
3/4 c Sucanat
1 large egg
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 t sea salt
3 oz dark chocolate broken into small pieces

Directions:
one:Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, stir together the first five ingredients until blended. Stir in chocolate.
two: Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes. Remove to a wire rack and let cool for 15 more minutes.

per cookies: 110 cals, 8g fat (1.5g sat.), 10g carbs, 1g fibre, 3g sugar, 2g protein.
